This course was created to transform the way in which services are provided within the Autistic community – across the world.

As a global organization, we recognized a lack of cultural diversity and representation in training programs available to educators, caregivers, and service providers. Additionally, there is an urgent need for Autistic voices and representation in training programs, which is why RST™️ was created with a team of Autistic professionals and self-advocates.

Our vision

We envision a world where every Autistic individual can thrive, no matter where in the world they live.

This course is not your typical training course – it is a fun and interactive learning experience. As a participant dive into the unique perspectives and insights of the Autistic community and broaden your horizons. With hands-on activities, real-world examples, and a supportive community, you'll be able to master the skills you need in no time.

Module 1 | Foundations of Applied Behavior Analysis

In this module, we will review the technician's responsibilities with regard to assessment. This includes assisting with both skills assessments and helping to determine the function of behavior.

Module 2 | Assessing Before Teaching

In this module, we will review the technician's responsibilities with regard to assessment. This includes assisting with both skills assessments and helping to determine the function of behavior.

Module 3 | Building Skills

In this module, we will discuss teaching techniques used by technicians, including discrete trial teaching, natural environment teaching, and chaining procedures. We will also discuss how to help make sure that your teaching is maintained for lasting behavior change.

Module 4 | Behavior Reduction

In this module, we will discuss methods for decreasing behavior — the pros and cons of their use and considerations when using these methodologies.

Module 5 | Data and Analysis

 In this module, we will discuss how and why to use measurement. This includes the types of measurement that are commonly used in applied behavior analysis programs, from frequency counts to permanent products.

Module 6 | Practicing Responsibly

 In this module we will discuss our ethical obligations according to the three governing organizations for technicians: the Behavior Analyst Certification Board®, the Qualified Applied Behavior Analyst Board®, and the International Behavior Analysis Organization®. In addition, we will discuss several issues and ethical obligations, including the use of punishment in practice.

Module 7 | Understanding Lived Experiences

 In this module, we will learn different perspectives on various topics from a wide range of Autistic Self-Advocates, family members, and other professionals in the field. These roundtable conversations will help you gain a more well-rounded understanding of the individuals you are serving and greatly improve your practice.
